    The A500 is as solid as it gets in a youth glove without breaking the bank. Great value for the money. The padding is perfect for 6-8 year old. It’s not perfectly flexible out of the box but very close with little break in needed. They come almost ready to play. Just a little molding and playing catch with it and it’s game ready. Do not use water or steam. It’s already very close to game ready. Do not leave in a hot car. It’ll pancake. Just mold it with your hands for a week or two and play catch with it. Performs well out of the box but after 2 weeks it is exactly where you want it. The tan and red looks great in my opinion and is a nice change from the previous grey.

    We tried some different gloves and love the 11.5 a500. This is the best for several reasons. It’s pretty much game ready but does need a little break in. It’s top grain leather so it’s lighter, easier to work leather. Top grain leather makes the glove very easy to close and catch with for a young player still developing hand strength. We don’t have issues with the laces coming untied often, laces have to be retied properly when they do come untied. I can see this being a great glove up to 10U, I don’t think there is a better glove for 8U. The 10.5 a500 is a tball size glove but the same quality otherwise. if I could go back in time and was starting first year of tball I’d probably buy the 11 inch a500 and we would have used it from tball through coach pitch.

    Brand new and laces came out in first use. Had laces redone and another part came unlaced. Way too loose of a pocket and after two practices it’s no longer usable. Cost to replace it is more than the cost of glove.

    Or maybe 3rd… Honestly time flies with this little one and now goes perfectly with his new teams colors! Great glove, albeit took quite a while to break in. We’re both just learning the sport as we go and look only gets better with time!
