I enjoy walking my local moderately hilly golf course but found that pushing a non motorized cart was starting to fatigue my legs by the 16th hole and as a result, affecting my swing with longer clubs. I didn’t want to give up walking the course and ride, however. Several other players had MGI carts and liked them so I bit the bullet and ordered one. It’s a great electric golf cart. It handles the hills very well and is easy to navigate with the remote. The main tip I would give is to get in the habit of routinely extending the small wheelie wheel as soon as you get the MGI out of your car if your course is at all hilly to prevent the cart from tipping over on upslopes. The cart motor is quite powerful and can get the cart up steep hills. The remote is effective for long distances, supposedly up to 150 yards, and it’s nice to be able to hit your approach shot in from 100-130 yards, and then just grab your putter and walk up to the green as your cart trundles off to the side of the green or even to the next tee box to wait for you. The battery is easy to attach and remove and is supposed to be good for 2 rounds but I charge mine after every round. The remote lasts many rounds before needing recharging, I’ve had my cart 5 months playing 2-3 times a week and have only had to charge the remote once. The cart opens and closes very easily and is actually easier to open and close than my previous pull cart. The only downside is that the MGI is somewhat on the heavy side, even with the battery removed. I think this is a reflection of how sturdy and well made the cart is. However, I don’t think the MGI is much heavier than many players fully loaded golf bags.

Seems very well built, easy to assemble, runs well. I play on a very , very, steep mountain course and it does ok on the hills despite some concern about this from other users. Does 18 holes easily on full charge and still shows strong battery, I think it could go 36 no problem.

So after playing four rounds w Zip Navigator, I’ve found it to be fun, easy and convenient !

It’s a short learning curve to get used to pushing buttons to keep the ZN from overwhelming your round of golf. The thing I’ve learned to do is ,after all in the group have hit their tee shots, just send it out ahead of yourself but not past the shortest ball.
W that tip in mind, it’s easy to keep pace of play and you don’t disturb your playing partners. So far so good w the zip navigator, it tipped over on its side one time due to me taking a shortcut and I underestimated the unevenness of the terrain. Very cool design, unfolds in seconds, and folds down to a compact little bugger that fits in my SUV very easily. I recommend ZN if you’re looking to walk your golf rounds!

I have now played over 20 rounds with my Zip Navigator and it definitely meets my expectations. I purchased this device because I like to walk the course but pushing a golf cart was often difficult on warmer days or when the rough was high. It is easy to set up, including attaching the battery, although a bit heavy lifting up into the cargo area of my SUV after it is folded. The assembly of the cart was easy and it seems well designed.
It moves along smoothly on the course, but navigating hills or side hills is problematic using the remote. I think this is partly due to a lack of weight in the front end and the fact that typically the weight of the golf bag is at the top where the heads of the clubs are. It is for this reason that I rated it a 4 rather than a 5. During my early learning it would tip over if I went too fast using the remote on a side hill, going too fast up a hill, or on places where there were “pot holes” in the fairway or rough. In those cases the front wheels would come up off the ground and even though I had the 5th wheel set up the cart would tip either backwards or sideways spilling out the clubs, balls, etc.
I have found that the remote is not as useful as I had thought it would be and have recently just walked behind the cart holding onto the handles and adjusting the speed manually. I find that if I set the speed at 5 I can walk along at a brisk pace, even having the cart give me an assist moving along. Lightly holding the handles has eliminated the problems with the cart tipping over. At speeds above 5, I would have to use the remote since I can’t keep up – not sure why I would need to use those speeds anyway since I eventually have to catch up with the cart. The remote is useful for sending the cart to the next tee but then I have to remember to take my headcovers with me otherwise they can fall off. I would not use the remote in crossing bridges or on gravel paths since the risk of tipping over is too great. This is not a problem, just advice for others.

All-in-all I’m happy with the Zip Navigator.

I’ve only used the cart twice and so far it has performed flawlessly. The remote is easy to use and the cart works well on the different surfaces of the golf course.

I was surprised that it came with a bottle holder, phone carrier and umbrella holder. A little disappointed that a score card holder was not included.

All the guys I play think the cart is cool and they are considering buying one for themselves.

    Just don’t buy it.
My star rating is 0 or -5.
It’s so heavy that your back will be crushed whenever you get this thing out of the car and carry it around. It is also a bonus to have to get wounds on the arms or legs.
Every time it climbs a hill, it falls upside down and make myself ashamed.
And if the battery is dead while playing golf, you’ll have to call a tow truck. I didn’t even try to move without batteries.
So I wanted to return this heavy wheel. I have to pay the postage, but it’s okay.
However, a few days later they only returned me $720 back. LOL. I called to protest, but there was no answer.
Just don’t buy it. Just ride a cart. Not only is it useless, but it can also be harmful to your mental/physical health.
