My expectations were relatively low in light of the reviews but I am very happy overall with the packaging, delivery, price versus quality and table top itself. The packaging was a box inside a box to completely protect corners and entire table. It came with zero damage. Next, the size is big! I bought this to cover my foosball table and have had to add 2×6 boards and stools underneath for added support since it is so large versus the foosball table. It is not strong enough to stay flat where it hangs off the foosball table. It is particle board with lamenent so it may break where not properly supported. It is made for a pool table but if your “base/under table” is smaller you can create a support system to help and it works really well. I went to Home Depot and had them cut the 2×6 and they work well. I have felt pads on the wood supports to hopefully avoid damage. The quality is great. The middle piece that holds the 2 sides together is tight but if you are careful it will be fine and not peel off the lamenent top. Just take your time. It takes two people to set it up. It’s so big and a little heavy you will need two people. My 15 year old daughter helped so it’s not too heavy – just big. Once set up it is fantastic. Looks sharp with the blue and white and the net is good as well. The net clamps help keep everything tight. We had a separate net we are using but it’s not necessary to get anything outside of what is included. The bounce is great and no issue with the seam along each side. Completely unnoticed while playing. Overall very happy with looks, quality and ease of set up versus the price. Hope this is helpful!

I knew this top would be heavy & feared it would be damaged upon arrival via UPS. It arrived this morning with several huge gouges in the cardboard carton it was packed in. I almost refused delivery due to the visible external damages. I started taking pictures. The outer carton (sturdy cardboard – if there is such a thing) contained the table top, packed in another sturdy cardboard carton. The inner carton had very, very minimal damage. More pictures. I breathed a sigh of relief when I opened the inner carton, took the packing material away & the table was in seemingly absolutely perfect shape. The table top bows somewhat in the middle – but, I had anticipated that & have some bracing material ready to cut & use as a “bridge” in the gap between the pool table top & the base of the ping pong table. Bottom line – very happy (so far) that I selected this table.

Its bulky and heavy-will need 2 people
Instructions are very poor. The middle connector is plastic!!! For such heavy wood boards, plastic connector is a very poor idea. Ours brook while joining the 2 boards
Worse part is the net- the poles don’t stay upright because there is no support to hold them in place

All the hard work to assemble is waste of time
Its heavy so don’t want to waste my energy to return it!!! Stuck with it

Our home doesn’t have space for a real ping pong table, so this was a good alternative. However, there are a lot of expensive conversion table-tops out there. After reading the reviews for this item and comparing with others, we bought one. It’s a much better price then others, but we also weren’t expecting professional quality.

We really like this table. It plays well for recreational ping pong people. We got the 9-ft long table, so it takes up a lot of space. Packaging is A+ because the table box comes inside another larger box with extra padding on the ends of the box. They really make an effort to protect this heavy table during shipping. I preferred having 3 people set up each end as the unfolding can be tricky with the weight and rather thin hinges. Otherwise, installation is pretty easy. The foam pads that lay between the conversion top and whatever table you use is OK. I feel like it should be bigger to provide more balance. Initially, we placed the pads too close to the hinges. This created a bit of a bump where the hinges are, so the ball would naturally roll towards the edge. Once we moved the pads further to the edge of the table, the ball didn’t roll as much. Overall, we’ve enjoyed the table. We have not attempted to take the table down yet…

This is precisely what it says. Ping pong table that lays on top of another table, pool or otherwise. We used this on top of our pool table. Table is thick and looks very sturdy. As you would expect, you need to support the underside. There are two pieces; each has two panels that unfold. They fit perfectly. The two ends do not latch or connect (and you don’t need them to).

The biggest thing to plan for or consider (and true of any table like this) is any padding you want to have to protect the table it is on. For us, I had two old (but unused yoga mats – ha, what does that say about me) that we put between the pool table and the ping pong table. This protects the table very well. The table does come with a few felt tabs. But I would recommend a felt blanket or something to use.

The table is great, net – solid quality. I recommend it. If you need more, buy a full table tennis table. But if you already have a table and want this to convert it. It’s perfect.

Thought I’d save some money and buy this one. Corners chipped and bubbled within a week. Parts where delivered damaged they did ship me new fairly quickly and was great service

Fit perfectly over our pool table and the kids (our 3 teens) love playing on it, especially when they have company over. Way better is having a pool table right under it.
