For me, long or split putter grips are hard to change as a DIY. I’ve done my own regular golf grip replacements before without much hassle. I also play tennis, so I’m used to using grip overwraps. I used 1.5 packages out of the 3. I did not put it on using an overlap, as only one wrap was going to be too short for the long grip. However, not overlapping works great and feels great, and I think now it is preferable. And it’s not like I’m swinging my putter 105mph. I kind of agree with another poster about using plain black tape instead of the logo tape. It gives it a little more of an OEM/custom grip look. But, you do you. The material feels great. I’m not sure how long it will last or how durable it will be, but my impressions are it will last quite well.

Easy to install, looks and feels great. The only issue I have is that the finishing tape says alien pro on it. The last thing I want is an off brand looking club when I have premium clubs. To me this is important, the grip is loud enough. The alien pro marking on the fastening tape to me ruins it. Fortunately I was able to use a permanent marking to completely cover it which made it look awesome, I am giving four stars for the fact that the alien prop finishing tape looks trashy with the log. Seen my pictures for a smooth black tape finish.

I decided I wanted to try golf, and instead of going all in and buying a new expensive set of clubs, I found some decent clubs for very cheap. The only issue was the grips were all terrible. I decided to give alien pros a try, And I have to say I am not disappointed. The installation was easy and the grip feels great. It’s definitely a cheap and easy fix for someone who is in my position who doesn’t want to spend a lot and who’s just trying to see if they like the game of golf. The quality is a lot better than I expected. I think if they had better designs or solid colors, I would choose this as a worthy replacement in the future. I definitely recommend it.

The grips on an old set of clubs I came across in a garage sale were literally crumbling off. I was going to replace the grips entirely but didnt want to go about removing all of them and buying replacement grips. I also wanted to save a bit of money. I found these as a very inexpensive alternative to replacing grips and was pretty skeptical of the installation and feeling.

Im glad I can say that I was very wrong! Here’s a simple breakdown of my review:
    PROs:
+ Ease of installation: its not quite “one minute” as it advertises itself to be, but it was extremely simple. It took me about 2-3 minutes per club but that still way faster than replacing the whole grip itself. The only tool you might need are a pair of scissors! Can’t get much easier than that. And they stuck on really well and haven’t shifted or started peeling.
+ Look: My driver and putter both have blue accents on a black handle. Putting these on the clubs gave it a great matching look. The black and blue waves are a great and simple look that isn’t obnoxious, nor does it get old looking at it after awhile.
+ Feel: I have so far played a couple rounds with these and its been great. I have yet to play in the rain (though I mostly try to avoid that) so I cant attest to how they feel when wet. But the grip isnt “sticky”, nor did I ever feel it slipping or shifting in either of my hands. Disclaimer, I play with a single glove on my left hand and a bare right hand.
+ Great value: For the price, and getting wraps for a whole set of clubs is awesome. I would definitely buy these again for myself or any of my golf buddies.

    CONs: None so far!!

***Though there are no cons (yet), there is a question or asterisk about this product that is worth mentioning, and that question is durability. How long will they last? How often will I have to replace them? I’ve had these for a month now and have been on the driving range twice, and played 3 rounds. I haven’t noticed any feeling, fraying, shifting, or coming off in anyway. I will try to remember to update in maybe 6-8 months and come back on their durability.

OVERALL: These have breathed new life into a set of golf clubs that were quite literally being thrown away. They look nice but not too obnoxious to bring on the more “higher class” courses. They feel good and, so far, are a totally great alternative to replacing the grips entirely. If your grips have zero comfort and need replacing, these are NOT what youre looking for. But if the grip just needs to be covered up and given some new texture/feeling back, these are perfect!!! 5/5 and hopefully stays that way for a long time!

Putter grip was in need of an upgrade… these wraps worked just fine… not sure I’d ever use one on other clubs, however, as they seem a bit ‘fragile’ if put under pressure.

I was looking at equipment and how much regripping would cost in some older clubs I started using and came across these. I am quite impressed and may never regrip again.

    1) ease and cost effectiveness. For the price of a few grips you can wrap 12 clubs in various styles. I chose the Tetris because I think it looks classiest and freshest.

2)adhesion- the whole wrap is not sticking but the 2 ends have little adhesives to pull me off where you start (top of grip) and where you end your wrap (bottom of grip) these adhere and come off easily and so not appear to leave much residue so having to start over is no issue I did it numerous times. At the end you use the black wrap to seal the bottom. We will see how it does durability wise but I think it is sturdy enough to last the average golfer. Very cost effective.

    2) FEEL. – has loved the feel of this. You can see my grips below are in pretty great shape. They are a little slick and hard but I like a thinner grip and I would say this adds the perfect tackiness to the feel of the grip. Haven’t had it out on a humid sweaty day but I love the feel. It’s almost like you get the same grip and it’s smoother and more adhesive to your hands without a sticky feel like a football glove would have. Soft and spongy in a way that doesn’t compromise much feel.

-OVERALL- for the money this is hard to beat. If you are an average golfer and aren’t picky all the way to a seasoned golfer adding these is a great way to show some personality and be different. I love that aspect definitely have friends asking about them when you break them out. Can’t wait to hit with these. I’m very satisfied although I can’t speak to the durability this is a fun way to shake things up and save money regripping. I would recommend these to anyone. Great product. Hopefully they add more and more styles to these that was the only disappointment.
