In Mad Gab, a hilarious and easy-to-learn game of words and phrases, it’s not what you say, it’s what you hear. Say the words “Ice Mail Ask Hunk” a few times and you may hear yourself saying “I smell a skunk.” Players work in teams and compete against the clock to solve the phrases and score points. The timer can be adjusted for beginning or expert play and cards also come in two levels of difficulty. For 2 to 12 players.

Canoe Key Pace He Grit? Mad Gab is one of the most entertaining and fun talk-out-loud games you’ll even play. Teams square off against their opponents in trying to be the first to 25 points, which are earned by solving word puzzles. The puzzles are mondegreens of small words that, when said together, sound like a phrase, famous person, place, or thing. For example, “Canoe Key Pace He Grit” when pronounced quickly sounds like “Can you keep a secret?”

300 cards, a timer, and a score pad are included. “Eiffel Tower” and “A Model Citizen” are the shown puzzles.
Talking to yourself might have people looking at you funny any other time, but it’s almost a prerequisite for Mad Gab. Simply reading “Sea Grit Dress Up Ease” may not be enough to solve the puzzle. But once you start sounding it out slow, fast, slurred, or with quick repetitions, you start to hear “secret recipes” and have the answer. But players should be careful, because if they don’t guess correctly before time runs out, then the opposing team has a chance to steal for the point.

The game includes 300 cards featuring 1,200 puzzles with two levels of difficulty. An easy example is “Sand Tack Laws” being Santa Claus, while a hard clue might be “Thigh Sing Gone Thick Ache” (the icing on the cake). A timer, a flipper, labels, a score pad, and instructions are also included.

    The seeker –

    I love revisiting the nostalgic word games of the 90’s!
    This game will get you laughing and good vibes all around! Game itself arrived in great condition and complete. If you love word games, get this one!
    I know there’s a modern version of this game that I haven’t checked out yet. Soon though.

    Mad Gab is a lot of fun. We don’t necessarily play by the rules; we just go around the table and let the pronouncer also be the one who has to figure out what they’re really saying. Sometimes that can be more difficult because when your mind is seeing one set of “words”, it has difficulty deciphering the true pronunciation. The game does not require a lot of deep thought and provides a lot of laughs around the table. Younger children might have difficulty because they might not be familiar with certain celebrity names or certain sayings.

    This game is perfect for game nights. This game is great for family and friends. I’m not going to lie, it’s pretty challenging at least for me. My teammates seemed to be pretty good at it, but I’m definitely not as skilled. It’s tough sometimes and other times it’s pretty easy. I totally recommend the buy if you want to get it to play with family or drinking game nights with friends.

    Such a fun game! It comes with plenty of guessing cards with both easy and hard options. It is funny and gets everyone laughing. The shipment came extremely fast and everything was there and in perfect condition! Highly recommend this game for a family game night, although it may be harder for children to play.

    I got this before a big house party that included adults and kids. We didn’t play it formally, but it was fun just to break into two loose teams and take turns with the cards. Some of the phrases are very challenging. The children were a little too young to know a lot of the phrases, but they enjoyed playing anyway. They could participate by reading the words, and they enjoyed hearing the adults sound silly while trying to sound out the phrases.

    Had this game when my kids were teenagers and we had a blast playing it. Recently saw this on Amazon and ordered it. My kids are now in their 40’s and guess what? We are having a blast playing it!!!! Fun, fun, fun game!!!

    Really rather expensive for a game but my daughter wanted it. Her family plays games and when company comes by that is one of their favorite things to do. I just sent it to her so I have not received any feedback. She has played before and that is why she wanted the game.
